Did you know you can make any YouTube video play in slow motion? All you need to do is hold down the space bar and the video will start to play at a much slower speed.


Speed up display of Thumbnails on the taskbar

A really cool thing about taskbar is that when you hover mouse over it, you see the thumbnail previews of all the open windows of that application. There is a slight delay before you see the thumbnails, so now I am going to speed up the thumbnail view.

Follow the following steps :-
a. Go to start menu , type regedit and then open the registry editor.
b. Browse to the following key:- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Mouse
c. Double click on the MouseHoverTime .the default value is 400(miliseconds).
d.  Change this value to 100 or 150(it’s your choice) and close the editor.
e. Now you will have to log off or restart you system to see the changes.


Customize the power button in windows - 7

If you restart the system, or log it off often, then trick is especially for you. Follow the following steps to customize the power button:-
a. Right click on the Start menu, and then select the properties.
b. Now choose the power button option that you use the most.

Remove send feedback link
This trick is for users who have win 7 beta versions installed on their systems. Windows 7 beta version has send feedback link at the top of every opened window title bar.
follow the following steps :-
a. Go to start menu, go to regedit.msc and open it.
b. Browse to the following key:- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
c. Now find the FeedbackToolEnabled key on the right-hand side and you have to change its value to 0 (zero).
In case you want to revert it back, change the value to 3.

Type about:config in the address bar, Then look for the following entries, and make the corresponding changes.

network.http.pipelining.maxrequests = 200
network.http.request.max-start-delay = 0

Lastly right-click anywhere and select New- Integer. Name it nglayout.initialpaint.delay and set its value to 0. This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives. Enjoy!!


Here are a few short cuts that might help you every day work

1. Just type in the name of the website in the address bar on a browser and press Ctrl+Enter to add the 'www.' and '.com', prefix and suffix automatically.

 

2. Use Ctrl+K to add a hyperlink to a bit of selected text.


3. Press the Windows key, and U twice in quick succession to shut down the computer.

 

4. Press the Windows Key+F to quickly open the search bar to search for files or folders.

 

6. You can undo an Undo by pressing Ctrl+Y. Simple, ain't it?


7.  Hold Shift while inserting a USB device or CD to bypass the auto run.

12. On YouTube you can use 'J' and 'L' keys to rewind or fast forward the video, respectively; and, use 'K' to pause the video.


13. Access the address bar on your browser directly by pressing Alt+D.


14. Use the Windows Key+R command to open the "run" command from where you can access any application or program by typing its name and hitting Enter.
